Erika Randall Beahm is an Assistant Professor of Dance at The University of Colorado at Boulder. She was fortunate enough to have met Jennifer Bechtel in 2004, when, upon meeting, they instantly began to write "Leading Ladies." An homage (with a twist) to "Dirty Dancing," the film that set her hormones in motion, "Leading Ladies" encompasses Erika's love of dance, feminist studies, and comedy--and proves Dorothy Gale's theory that you should never have to go any further than your own backyard for material.
